There’s nothing too surprising on this page, I’m actually a lot like you. I’ve seen quite a lot of web-based home business ideas come and go, and I have paid for more downloaded software and manuals on the subject of home businesses than I would feel comfortable admitting in public.
I spent many years going back and forth trying to make my fortune in some online venture or another, and at many times it brought me great stress and financial ruin. I’ve paid my dues, and I’ve learned quite a lot. Although I decided years ago that a 9-5 job just wasn’t for me anymore, it took me until 2005 to finally make the kind of profits online that I could live comfortably with. |

Here’s where I differ from the other online Gurus:
I detest all of the BS out there that causes us undue stress. You have to know what I mean; your inbox is overflowing with it… One Time Offers… Countdowns until the stores close… Up-Sells… Even pop-unders, these things all cause us minute amounts of stress, and were designed to do so in order to pressure us into buying a product.
So maybe I’m not the best salesman. I’ll admit it… I’m not likely to beat Ewen Chia’s record of most sales in this lifetime. Nor John Reese's $1 million day. That’s ok… I’d much prefer to tell you guys the truth, say what I feel about it all, and earn your respect… Those who would buy from me will be loyal subscribers for life.
I feel I can earn your respect much more by playing the game fairly. I will give you as many incentives as I can come up with to join my list or click on my link, but I’ll never, ever stoop to saying something like “We’ve only got 11 of these left, so if you want to retain your existing income, you’d better sign up in the next 7 seconds!” That sounds really desperate and sad to me, and you can rest assured that I won't ever employ such a tactic.
My Past:
I’ve been making websites since 1993, and I really just did it for fun & curiosity at first. I still enjoy it today, despite the fact that I usually outsource most of that kind of work. I knew instinctively that there was money to be made here, so I kept up with it all these years, between my other jobs. In fact, I was fired from one position because I spent too much time at that job fiddling with my personal website & AdSense earnings!
In early 2004, I started a business in Nashville, Tennessee, as a Website Marketer for the small businesses in my community. I found the whole customer part of the business to be too much work for my personal tastes, and changed my strategy to offer free Search Engine Optimization advice from my website. You can still visit it today at: www.internetoptimization.net. ION has a lot of timeless advice about SEO that compliments the things you will learn and use on this site. When you are starting the marketing phase of your assembly line, give this page a once-over. It’s had been #1 in Google for almost two years for the term “Web Site Traffic Marketing.”
I’ll be embarrassingly honest with you and admit that I’ve only been successful since 2005, when my publishing ‘empire,’ 250+ informational websites, started to really take off. I’d tried just about every other tactic before that, and a few others since. I’ve closely followed programs by such internet guru’s as John Reese, Ewan Chia, MIke Filsaime, Brad Callen, Cory Rudel, Key Evoy, Charles Helfin, Allen Gardyne, the Rich Jerk, and many other internet super-affiliates & 'Gurus.' They all make some good points, & I hold no ill will against any of them. No matter how much I paid for their programs, I did learn.
The only real problem with those people’s systems in my opinion is that they aren’t for everyone. (In fact many of them admit as much.) Different people have different needs and preferences, so how can everyone make a living doing the exact same way? Also, it is very common for these Gurus to make their products and courses sound too easy. “Push a button, & money fills your account” easy. I hope that no one gets the idea from this website that I’m making anything at all sound too easy, all my assembly lines take some work. There are no promises of overnight success here, just the promise that I will stick with you and make sure that you can make it eventually.
So please, learn from my mistakes, even if you feel I’m not qualified yet to teach about great success… I’ll be the first to admit that I still have a long way to go before I catch up to the highest-paid gurus. At the same time however, I know that I got where I am the hard way, and I remember every painful step of the way.
More importantly, I know you’re trying the same things I did, falling into the same traps. It saddens me to see others in the same pain I was in, especially when it is completely avoidable with some simple advice.
Remember, I’m not asking for anything from you at all, except that you be honest with yourself. I just want to do my part making the world a better place by helping you succeed much faster than I did. I know I can do it if you’ll just give me a chance. Sincerely, Luke W.
