Skills and tools needed:
The ability to WRITE lots of sales & PRE-Sales copy will serve you best, unlike an AdSense publisher, you won’t have the option to use a lot of other people’s content here. You will need to speak confidently to large groups of people, and be knowledgeable about your subject matter. Also, you will always need to be on the forefront of the tech trends in the industry, as you will constantly be employing the latest pop-up ad, affiliate re-direct, or server-side automation script of some kind. This path definitely has the biggest learning curve of all assembly lines.
There will be many tools needed for this choice. Before you’ve picked a hosting server, you’ll need to ensure you can send large newsletter lists from it regularly… If not, there are other ways to do it, such as keeping your subscriber’s list on a newsletter-only service & server. (That will cost a bit more money, of course.) Plus, you’ll need Paypal & Clickbank accounts, a website, possibly a forum &/or blog, on-site scripts, and lots of other extras that help you drum up targeted traffic. Use of MRR products will help a lot. There will be a lot to learn on this one, but at least we’ll be here to give you these free tools and teach you how to use them.
Description of a Super-affiliate / Ezine Publisher:
Most people think that the definition of an affiliate is to simply post some affiliate links on their website to help sell the products of others. Many even include in that definition the tasks of putting their affiliate links in their signature during forum posts, and at the end of all their personal emails as well.
Those would both, in fact, be the definitions of a starving affiliate.
All successful affiliates realize the same thing just before they make any real money; “The money is in the LIST.” –This refers to the newsletter list, and it is unavoidably, 100% true.
Unless you want to plan to fail, your role as an affiliate should automatically include the role of being an Ezine or newsletter publisher. The frequency of your mailings is up to you, some mail out as often as every 48 hours, and others go a whole month between mailings… I guess that all depends on how often they can get their hands on interesting content in their market niche for their readers to want to see.
Another very serous aspect of being successful at this assembly line choice is using Joint Venture partnerships. (JVs) These are other affiliates and product owners like yourself who have their own products and newsletters, who would be willing to ‘scratch your back’ if you scratch theirs. This can be in the form of giving each other product reviews, selling each other’s product, or any other creative venture you two can think up together.
There are many places online to find these JV partners, and you can always just contact the owner of a product or service online that compliments yours and make a simple proposal to them. Either way, Affiliates become ‘Super-affiliates’ when they properly use JVs, and get their links out to thousands through newsletters, no matter who owns that newsletter.
Lifestyle of an Ezine Publisher/Affiliate Marketer:
If you choose this assembly line, you will be committing yourself to sitting at the computer many hours every day learning new technologies and tactics, writing content for websites and newsletters, drumming up other traffic in creative ways, finding new affiliate programs and checking your sales stats, and of course, searching out JV partners. I’m sorry to report to you that the old rule of the universe is still in effect, if you want to make the most money, you still have to work hardest for it.
This is the assembly line that you’ll likely have to work the hardest for, but if you do, you’ll reap the largest possible rewards. |
