Main Ingredient: Website Building
This rather large section of our site offers some of the best training tools and even free helper applications on the web for building any type of website.
Split up into, at last count, seven distinct sections, there is no Assembly Line choice excepting some Writer/Programmers who won’t need knowledge of at least some of the categories below to be a success online.
This section of the website covers so much more than simply writing the code of a website, it includes form, function, strategy & security. No one should ever build a website without having a good strategy behind its’ purpose, and this is the place to learn about that vital ingredient.
The first sub-category, “HTML Tricks” deals with intermediate-level HTML & PHP (website programming languages) and some simple Javascript. You’ll be pleasantly surprised about the ‘Guru-class’ tricks we teach in here!
The second, called “The Mini-Site” is all about those single-column sales pages that work so well for getting people to purchase all types of products. There’s quite a lot to learn on that specific subject, unless of course you don’t care about your sales figures.
“Site Builders” is our third sub-category, which has everything to do with programs like Traffic Equalizer that put websites together for you. It is surprising how much of the web was just spit out by programs like these. (Although not so surprising how Google has retaliated…)
The fourth is a small but helpful section directed at the AdSense (VRE) Farmers among us, called “Contextual Ad helpers.” If you don’t plan to run Ads on your website, then this subcat is totally unnecessary.
Fifth is the “Add-ons” section, which is growing quickly because it will cover any scripts or database-driven applications, including membership sites, directories, and any other functionality besides the standard HTML interface.
The sixth sub-cat, “Security,” is something I recommend everyone who owns a website takes a look at, as it can teach a lot about the way the web works, and how to protect yourself on it.
And finally, the seventh sub-category is all about “Graphics.” What a bland thing the web would be without those!
